About Woljeongsa Temple & Odaesan
Woljeongsa Temple, founded in the 12th year of Queen Seondeok's reign during the Silla Dynasty, is a thousand-year-old temple located on Odaesan Mountain, a sacred Buddhist site. It houses numerous cultural treasures, including the National Treasure Octagonal Nine-Story Stone Pagoda, the Woljeongsa Stone Seated Bodhisattva (a treasure), and the Wooden Seated Manjusri Child Statue. The temple is surrounded by a forest of over 1,700 fir trees and offers temple stay programs designed for both rest and experience, providing a rejuvenating escape for those weary in body and spirit. The fir tree forest path, where the barefoot walking program is conducted, is also famous as a filming location for the drama "Goblin."
